The call for NLNG gas sector investment has intensified as Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) stresses the urgent need to stabilise gas supply nationwide. During a courtesy visit by the Group CEO of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.), Bayo Ojulari, NLNG’s Managing Director and CEO, Philip Mshelbila, emphasised the critical role of deliberate investments in the gas industry.
According to NLNG’s Corporate Communications Office, Mshelbila explained that de-risking infrastructure and unlocking upstream investments are vital for sustaining consistent gas output. He noted that NNPC Limited has been a dependable shareholder in strengthening Nigeria’s energy security.
Why Gas Sector Investment Matters
The urgent push for NLNG gas sector investment aligns with Nigeria’s goal to improve industrial productivity, household energy access, and global competitiveness. The Federal Ministry of Power continues to support reforms to modernise the energy sector, while NLNG’s partnership with NNPC ensures national energy goals remain on track.
At Property Media Week (PMW), we highlight how this investment directly links to the real estate sector. Reliable gas supply lowers energy costs for developers, improves housing affordability, and boosts property values. Pathway to Energy and Housing Growth
Investments in gas will not only benefit industries but also power Nigeria’s growing housing demand. By creating a stable gas-powered infrastructure, the country can ensure energy access for rural communities, urban centres, and real estate projects, thereby unlocking economic growth.
