Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated a significant sum of N1 billion to the National Cancer Fund through her Renewed Hope Initiative. This move aims to intensify the fight against cervical cancer in Nigeria.
The donation will support nationwide efforts in cancer testing, screening, vaccination, and treatment, particularly for women. According to the First Lady, the initiative is focused on giving Nigerians, especially women in underserved communities, access to life-saving cancer prevention and care.
“This is more than a donation—it is a message of hope and action. We want to see a Nigeria where no woman loses her life to cervical cancer,” Remi Tinubu stated during the announcement.
The Renewed Hope Initiative continues to build on President Bola Tinubu’s broader agenda to improve public health access and outcomes.
