A fresh wave of violence has struck Kogi State as gunmen launched an attack on the family home of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The lawmaker, who represents Kogi Central, described the incident as politically motivated. She accused unnamed political opponents of masterminding the attack to intimidate her.
Eyewitnesses report gunfire and panic during the late-night invasion, though no casualties have been confirmed yet. Authorities have begun investigations into the matter.
