Delta Governor’s Aide, Gwamnishu, Fires Back Over Criticism on Kidnapping

Gwamnishu Harrison, a well-known aide to the Delta State Governor, has come under fire for continuously sharing reports of kidnappings in his local community. Critics argue that, as part of the government, he should refrain from highlighting such negative stories.

But in a strong denial, Gwamnishu stated that silence is not an option when lives are at risk. He emphasized that being part of the government doesn’t mean ignoring the truth or covering up insecurity.

“I’m not just a government aide; I’m also a member of this community. I won’t stop talking about kidnapping until it stops,” he posted online.

This heated debate brings to light the increasing tension around safety, governance, and community transparency—especially in rural and developing neighborhoods.
