Tosin Demehin rewarded — and rightfully so! The Super Falcons defender has received ₦30 million and a house in Sunshine Estate, Oba-Ile from the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa for her exceptional performance at the 2024 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
During a civic reception in Akure, the governor celebrated Ondo State’s indigenes who contributed to Nigeria’s victory. Tosin Demehin was honored for her rock-solid defense throughout the tournament.
Governor Aiyedatiwa didn’t stop there. He also rewarded Mary Akinsola, the team’s media officer, and Mary Oduboku, the team’s secretary, with ₦15 million each in recognition of their roles in the national team’s success.
“Tosin Demehin has made Ondo State proud on the continental stage,” said the Governor. “As a token of our appreciation, she will receive ₦30 million and a house at Sunshine Estate.”
