Ikeja Electric and EKEDC announced a 25-day planned power outage in Lagos. From July 28 to August 21, 2025, they will shut off supply daily from 8 AM to 5 PM. TCN needs this window to perform maintenance on the Omotosho–Ikeja West 330kV transmission line.
Where and Why
The affected infrastructure connects the Omotosho Power Station in Ondo State to Lagos’s Ikeja West hub. The outage will create intermittent supply across the Ikeja Electric and EKEDC networks.
How Customers Are Affected
Residents and businesses served by Ikeja Electric’s areas — including Abule Egba, Ikeja, Shomolu, Ikorodu, Oshodi, and Akowonjo — must prepare for power disruptions. EKEDC subscribers in Lekki, Apapa, Festac, Mushin, and adjacent districts will also face interruptions.
